Additional Insurances

Club property insurance

As a club affiliated with Badminton Wales, your Public and Employers' Liability insurance covers third-party property damage claims. However, this does not include protection for your club’s own property. For example, if your clubhouse is broken into or damaged by a storm, liability insurance won’t cover those losses.

To safeguard your club’s property, clubs should consider additional property insurance to protect against these risks. Click here to contact a member of the team and discuss further. Key benefits include:

  • Clubhouse and facility damage: Covers damage to your clubhouse and any associated buildings.
  • Trophies: Insures trophies stored at the club or taken home by members within the UK.
  • Courts and flooring: Protection for badminton courts, including specialist flooring surfaces.
  • Lighting systems: Covers damage to indoor lighting rigs caused by storms or electrical faults.
  • Business interruption: Compensation for lost income (e.g., court hire, bar/café revenue) due to major incidents like fire or flooding.

•  Bar stock and cash: Covers bar stock and money, including cash in transit to the bank.
