Golfplan has been part of the Howden family for a number of years now, and during that time our focus has always remained the same — looking after our clients with specialist cover and dedicated service.
Now, we’re taking the next natural step: On 8 April 2026, Golfplan changed its name to Howden.
Same team, same great service:
- Your Golfplan team remains exactly the same – the same people, providing the same dedicated service.
- Your cover stays the same, and there’s nothing you need to do.
- We’ll continue to expand our products and services to support you and the wider golf community.
Howden is a trading style of A-Plan Holdings.

Back in September 2020 it was announced that Howden, the international insurance broking group, had reached agreement to acquire A-Plan Group, one of the UK’s largest personal and commercial lines insurance brokers, in a bid to create a new UK broking powerhouse.
The new partnership brings together Howden’s leading specialty and reinsurance business and A-Plan Group’s best-in-class personal and commercial lines expertise which it delivers via its established brands. One of these established brands is A-Plan Insurance, which re-branded to Howden Insurance in October 2023.
GolfPlan has now become another brand under A-Plan Holdings to merge into Howden Insurance.
